It has been Camera pub of the year several times and voted Ribble valley pub of the year 2016. See below for details.
http://www.swanwithtwonecks.co.uk/index.htm Suggest we meet up at the Tickled Trout at 6:45 for the run over to the pub. The post code for the pub in case any one wants to meet us there is BB7 1PT. As last month’s evening run out and meal proved popular we decided to try again, this time to the Swan with two Necks at Pendleton in the Ribble Valley. The group started off from the Tickled Trout meeting place, and there were initially 12 people which eventually grew to 19 by the time we reached the Swan. We had a great meal and were there for over 3 hours!. These evenings are proving a great success ![]() Sixteen of us went to Old Nell’s at Bilsborrow last night for a meal and run out. Those of us from the Blackpool area met up at the Shell garage near the M55. It was nice to see some new faces there including Paul Forrest, Rufus and his wife in their Green Chimeara and Don Hastey and his wife. Don had been at Heaths and decided to stay over for the meal. A quick blast up the motorway and we met up with Jim and Shiela Edwards and Mark Warburton who had gone straight to the pub. Either the nights are drawing in or we talked a lot as it was dark when we left. I took the country route back home and realised just how useless the headlights are on my SEAC! It was a great night out and it was suggested we should do something similar every month. Seven TVRs attended The Show at the end of July followed by a run home thro the centre of Lytham, which caused a stir!. Many Thanks to Heath for leading the day.
We are arranging a run out to “old Nells” at Bilsborrow (PR30RS) on Thursday the 4th of August for a bite to eat and a run out after. For those in the Blackpool area we are meeting up at the Shell station near J3 of the M 55 at 6:30 and should be at Old Nells by 7:00pm. If you are coming from the Preston area I suggest you meet us there AT 7:00.
We have not booked a table as don’t know how many will attend plus it is a big place and should be ok being mid week. Link to website http://www.guysthatchedhamlet.co.uk/ See you there! Yes I will be attending a TVR function! my first for a while. David I have assumed James’s log in and password so I can use the website again.
This coming Sunday it is the Lytham show. The pre booking closed some time ago but we have always been invited to show the cars but pay the normal entrance fee. If you want to go I suggest you all meet up at 9:30am at the entrance to the hall and go in together. I wont be there as at my grand daughters Birthday party in the afternoon. David. Once again fabulous weather and a very good show with over 200 cars on display. The money raised is going to Trinity Hospice in Blackpool.
Best super car was a Ferrari California, Best Classic was a Dino, best in show was a Rolls Royce. No TVR’s featured despite Heath being one of the Judges! |
