Club night Venue~ We have decided to stay at the Shovels for the last two evening meeting dates of August 28th and September 25th. After that the meetings change to the last Sunday of the month but still at the Shovels and we don't have the clash with the football. We will consider another venue over the winter period, any suggestions to John please.
Oulton Park~ we currently have £305 which we were thinking of using for the hospitality at the Oulton round of the Tuscan Challenge in October. The room hire is £411 and entrance to the track plus the "minimum catering package" costs a further £25 per head. We considered this too much so will use the cash being raised for the Xmas Lunch on the 14th of December. I guess most of us will be going to the meet anyway as it is sponsored by the Blackpool branchand is the nearest round of the challenge to Blackpool. More info on that later.
Xmas lunch~ Keith has investigated the Plough at Eaves for our Xmas lunch on Sunday the 14th of December. The place has two possible dining venues with one room taking 30 people and the other 40. The land lady has offered to do us a Christmas lunch for a fixed price of £15 per head but there is also a limited alternative choice. They have offered to keep an area of the car park for us as well. We need final numbers and a deposit of £5 per head at August club meeting.
The North East run was clashing with Tatton 2 and has been cancelled. Neil Russell is looking at the possibility of combining the run with attending the B.N.G on the 6th or 7th of September. We will keep you posted via the website of any developments.
There was an announcement re a car show at Lytham Hall on Sunday the 3rd of August starting at 10.30
