Le Mans 24hr and Classic
A member of the TVRCC who has experience of organising European car trips and other events has set up a company to organise trips to Le Mans 24hr and Le Mans Classic. He is currently organising next year’s trip to Le Mans Classic. The email we have received from him is below.
Hi,
My name is Ian Longden and I am a long standing member of the TVRCC.
For many years I have organised car related events, including annual Euro Road trips for friends, local car meetings and in 2008 & 2009 TVR S Club Heaven, the annual get together for owners of the S Series cars.
Many of my Euro trips have been to Le Mans so, encouraged by those that have travelled with me, I have set up www.fasttracktours.co.uk. The site is still being developed and more information will be added over the coming weeks. However I wanted to send you the details I already have asap because I know some members are keen to get something booked for next year.
I have been in contact with the TVRCC Office over the last couple of weeks and Alison has suggested that I email you to see if any members would be interested in what I can offer, particularly for The Classic seeing as the Club does not have any other arrangements in place.
For The Classic the Karting Nord campsite, with numbered pitches, is reserved for the use of organised groups and clubs. There are already 25 TVR's booked on this site from the French TVRCC and the organisers have given me exclusive use of an additional 20 spaces for TVR's - no other TVR's will be given access to this site.
To secure the place on Karting Nord a booking for at least 10 cars must paid for (including at least one general admission ticket per car) by 21/1/10. Extra cars and tickets can be added after that date, but the organisers cannot guarantee there will be spaces at that time. Therefore to obtain the allocation of 20 spaces it is advisable to make the full booking before 21/1/10 if possible.
Alternatively I can supply spaces on the Bleu Nord campsite, which also has numbered pitches.
