It has been realised that the failure to keep the Blackpool Region TVR Car Club website up to date was causing problems for members who do not use Facebook and for other non- Blackpool members to find out what was going on in the region. To resolve this problem Mark Warburton has volunteered to update the Blackpool Region TVR Car Club website on a regular basis. He will take information from the following sources: -
The Blackpool Region Facebook group pages
Monthly Club Meetings
Awareness of various activities raised by the R.O. (Heath Briggs)
It is also intended to provide links on the Blackpool TVR Club website and the Blackpool F.B. Pages so that people can easily switch between the two sources of information.
Heath stated he is very busy at work and seems to spend every hour of every day either working on or discussing TVR Cars, he therefore asked for more help from the regions members in providing write ups of events attended. In future we will ask one person who attends an event to provide Heath and/ or Mark with a write up that can be used in either the monthly report to Sprint or the website or F.B. pages.
Jim Edwards could not unfortunately attend the meeting but did volunteer to organise some things for the members. It was suggested that Jim organise a run out for the members and pass the relevant information to Mark for displaying on the website and F.B Pages. A run out to the Carding Shed was suggested but we will leave the destination up to Jim.
The following up coming events were raised by Heath: -
Saturday 28th April ~ Sprint at Aintree track where Blackpool region members are taking part
Saturday 28th April St Georges Day Parade and Car show on Lytham green
Sunday 6th May ~ Motor Sport and Performance Show at the Ditchfield Glass Blowing centre on Fleetwood road near the junction with the Blackpool / St Michaels road.
See later posts for details
The Next Club Meeting on the Thursday the 10th May and will be a run out to “Old Nells” on the A6. Meet at the Kingfisher at 6:30 or at Old Nells if more convenient.
Heath's Birthday so he is bringing CAKE!!
I will try and post on here the items raised / discussed at the meeting in case you cant attend.
Bill Campion won the TVR Sprint Championship round on Saturday at Anglesey, he is now known as the "rain god" I was the strongest over both Saturday and Sunday and managed to prop up the rest of the TVR's on both days. Still I did enjoy it.
