A BIG WELCOME to Dave and Sue who came across from Goosnargh to see us for the first time. Dave was armed with many photo’s of their new 350i wedge, which is currently in at his friends garage for a few small jobs. The photo’s looked very good and I am looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.
After a couple of small announcements regarding cancellation of the N.W. Stages rally in February and the Autosport event at the NEC this weekend we discussed the possibility of Joining the South Yorkshire TVRCC Isle of Man Tour on the 6/10th July. Details are shown below: -

We then talked about the resurfacing of the 3 Sisters track at Wigan which Heath has seen on the Internet, this lead to the suggestion of an evening karting under the lights. Dave then mentioned there is a new indoor track opening in Bamber Bridge which could be a better venue in the current weather. Heath immediately sent them an e mail asking for details of when they will be open. Don’t yet know the outcome of e mail.
However, a cunning plan has been formed! As Baldrick would say. Two teams of drivers (a mixture of Male and females) from the Blackpool region could have a return Challenge match with the Lancashire Region, and or Cheshire Regions in the Spring. BUT not before some “sneeky” practice to learn the track for the Blackpool members.
So, come on all you folks lets see how many would like to have a go at this and let Heath or I know if you are up for it. I know we have a few ex Kart racers hidden away in the Blackpool club so dust of your helmets, so to speak!
