A big thanks to all the Blackpool members, for helping with the event and putting up with the distraction the event has caused at our normal monthly meetings.

I slept through until 6:30 this morning for the first time in months!!!!!  I could not face switching on the computer until last night  because I wanted a total break from the event. It appears the members really enjoyed it and that was DUE TO YOUR TREMENDOUS EFFORT, so from a huge thanks from me.

Russ Larcombe has already expressed my feelings in the previous note on the site so thanks again for that Russ.

Many people have asked will we run it again next year. It would be far to soon for me and we now have a system where any future events have to be co ordinated through Sharon Blanchard and the club committee, which in my mind is ESSENTIAL as we have approached event overload this year. My own personal feeling is I wouldn't mind running a sprint combined with a "smaller" Back Home aspect, on a bi annual or four yearly basis. It sure was popular, and some of the die hard race drivers who thought sprinting was boring have now changed their minds and looking to do more sprinting. I am told Brian Hosfield is even thinking of building a new car!

So it's the first day of the rest of my life now!
