PROGRAMME OF WEEKENDS EVENTS
LOCATION
The Saturday static events and Sunday Sprint will be centred on the promenade near the Norbreck Hotel. This is approximately 2.5miles north of Blackpool Town Centre See rough map for layout. To see it in Google Earth use these co-ordinates 53°51'30.26"N, 3° 3'2.51"W
Friday 3rd
Run through Illuminations and fish & Chip Supper
Meet in Sainsbury's car park in Red Bank Rd Bispham at 20:30 (post code FY2 9HH) We will lead the people staying in the Devere Hotel to Sainsbury's (departing De Vere at 20:15). There are several eat in or take away Chippy's in Red Bank Rd, including the original chippy we were about to totally take over!
After eating we will meet up in the Sainsbury car park and depart at 22:15 for the run through the lights. The best tableau's are at the Northern end of the lights so if the run is too slow or you have had enough you will have seen the best bits first!. We will lead the "Convoy" back to the De Vere at the end of the run.
Saturday 4th - North Shore Promenade
Site opens at 8:30

Rolling Road - Start 9:00 Saturday and 10:00 Sunday
Pit Stop Challenge - Start 9:00 Saturday (Saturday only)
Factory Visits - Group 1 at Factory 9:00, Finished by 14:00 (Make own way to Factory)
TVR Auto jumble - Starts 9:00 (Saturday only)
Concours Competition - tart 11:00 Prize presentations on Promenade at 15:00
Loudest Car competition - Start 13:00 Prize presentation on promenade at 16:00
Runs Out - Leave from Promenade site at 13:00
Static displays - On Display all day Saturday & Sunday
Saturday 4th Evening
Gala Ball at De Vere Hotel, with a live band and Disco, charity auction and raffle.
Cocktails at 19:00hrs
Dinner at 20:00
Sunday 5th
Rumble up Promenade to venue - Assemble opposite Pontins at 9:00 - Leave at 9:30
Sprint -North Shore Promenade -
Starts at 11:00
~ MSA (in association with Longton and District Motor club) sanctioned 1/4 mile sprint down the North Shore promenade.
(Currently all conditional on the granting of the required licence by the MSA)
This is the lowest form of licence required and merely requires you to fill in a form that includes a medical self certification as to your medical fitness to compete in Motor sports. (The MSA may/will apply for a report from your Doctor)

You will also require a suitable crash helmet and overalls.
Entry will be £60 and depending on entry numbers we are hoping to allow at least two practice runs and three timed runs per entrant.
RUN OUTS
There will be 3 run outs, to different locations and different lengths.
Run 1 - approx 83 miles and 2hrs+ driving time read more
Run 2 - approx 35 miles and 1hr driving time + time spent drinking coffee and eating ice cream read more
Run 3 - approx 35 miles and 1hr + time time spent at Myerscough College read more
SUNDAY SPRINT
The event is being organised by Longton & District Motor Club and will be run under an MSA Licence. Drivers will need a Non Race national B licence which can be easily obtained from the MSA web site. Further regulations will be issued in the future.
TRADE STANDS
We anticipate approximately 25 trade stands will be in attendance on the Saturday and Sunday at the Norbreck site. As well as stands displaying goods and services we expect 3 or 4 companies will be giving demonstrations of Polishing, wheel alignment, Rolling Roads etc
EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS
We have been closely involved with Myerscough College Motor sports Department in organising the event and as well as displaying their race and Rally cars they will be bring along there "Road Show" to provide details of the courses they run. We will also be leading a run of cars to Myerscough to look around their facilities.
